PLAY IT FORWARD CHALLENGE.

PLAY IT FORWARD CHALLENGE.
Why did they do this?
To celebrate and raise awareness of the power of girls & women around the world. This in parallel with the Women’s World Cup of Soccer occurring in Canada at the same time. 16 elite teams featuring the very best athletes from the US, Japan, Switzerland, Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, Mexico, Brazil, Spain competed for the prize – to be the World Cup Champion! An exciting 52 games of football (soccer) were held in 6 Canadian cities – Moncton, Ottawa, Montreal, Winnipeg, Edmonton, and Vancouver.

Young men and women, boys and girls played for 20 min 15 sec of soccer for “2015 – The Year of Women in Sport!” and many raised awareness to end violence.
