BLOG POST: Yes to the Power in Sport Night – recap & photos

Wow, last night. I really appreciated the messages of giving just a bit more; why sport is so important (because of the ability to touch 1000’s of people in an emotional impactful way); and how one must break the rules in their head to become all that they are capable of (to name a few).

It made me think we have something special starting here with these ‘Power in Sport Nights’ in Vancouver. My wish is for more people to come out and benefit from these messages. It’s so powerful when you hear them ‘in the flesh’ there in front of you.

Bryson Sask, our main speaker – thank you! And to Dustin Sproat for your introduction and story – thank you. Good to hear you both speak and be so entertaining.

Bryson Sask, our speaker of the night.

Also a big shout out to the volunteers – Daniela (Greeter), Josh (Declaration signup), Godfrey (Rogue Timer), Linda M. (Videographer) and Eleanor (Photographer) for making the night perfect. You are amazing.

Special thanks to Eugene and The Cottage Bistro for their wonderful food and hospitality; to Sacha at the FlowerBox for the gift certificates for lovely flowers; and to Uprising Bakery for the yummy chocolate bundt cake.

I’m pretty excited – our next event is Tues Apr 15th. ‘Why persevere through adversity’ is the message from Duncan Robinson. Why? In 2013, he persevered through the Ironman Triathlon where he suffered a painful injury and decided to finish. You have to hear his story for yourself.

Tues Apr 15th is the date for our next get together. Look forward to seeing you and meeting you.
