You know when you feel driven to do something and it burns inside of you? You can’t stop and don’t want to. As a Canadian and an empowered person, it was essential to me to make a difference. Canada considers motion to declare 2015 The Year of Women in Sport Today, April 22, 2015, the notice to declare “2015 – The Year of Women in Sport” went to the House of Commons in Canada. One of the things I am working on is a message to not only celebrate women, but to help in another way. I drafted the declaration below. What do you think? Today I met a powerhouse. The Speaker of the House in BC, Linda Reid. The meeting went like this: Her: “Have you sent a letter in to the Minister responsible with your request to declare ‘2015 – The Year of Women in Sport’?” Me: “Well I sent emails to test the waters last summer.” Her: “Well we work on letters. Send a letter, copy me, and we’ll get this done.
