April 16 2014
To those that could attend the April 15th Power in Sport event in Vancouver, thank you for a memorable evening!
It was a delight to see both returning and new faces at the Bistro. I hope you had a good time; I know I took away some new thoughts thanks to your participation.
A special thanks to our main speaker for the night, Duncan Robinson. He shared his personal life stories about adversity and how he persisted through them. He left us with much to think about. ‘Adversity is supposed to be there’ was his message.
Thanks too to our team of Simon Lau, Daniela Stockfelth-Menis, and Eleanor MacPherson. Special thanks to the Cottage Bistro for hosting and their lovely food.
A thank you to our draw prize donors – The Flower Box on Commercial Drive, Prado Cafe on The Drive, and Uprising Bakery.
Our next event is Tues May 20th.
