As part of raising awareness, they took a pledge in Hindi and English to become better people and to stop violence.
We are so very fortunate to have been associated with such a tremendous and powerful group of people. I enjoy seeing change and this group is inspiring change in India. Many lessons for us to take back here to Canada.
Here is pledge video – start at 2:15 min and watch to the end to see the final portion of the pledge!
The photos are a mix of those taken during the 20 min and 15 second Play it Forward match and the Championship Games, as well as the official proceedings honouring dignitaries and community leaders. Enjoy!
A special thank you to Slum Soccer and best wishes at the Homeless World Cup in the Netherlands
